To Question or Not To Question…What is the Answer?

You may be wondering if you are required to have questions in order to get a Tarot Reading… No but they do help!

While questions are not needed or required, it’s more efficient for both your reader and yourself to set some boundaries for what answers you might seek. Regardless to whether you are in-person or in the virtual setting, it is important to have a clear question that you might need some guidance or clarification on. If you go to a Tarot Reader and ask 10 questions for a 3 Card Reading, most readers are going to explain to you that there is not enough information behind 3 Tarot Cards to give you guidance for all 10 questions. The more questions you have, the more detail you will need in response to those questions. On the Contrary, if you have one specific question that you need some more detailed answers about, a 3 card spread may not cut it! You might need to ask your reader for a Celtic Cross or something that gives a little more detail.

Here are two important reasons that Questions can help get the most out of your reading:

  1. They give the client more control over what they specifically need guidance on.

    • If you cognitively know that you are stressed out or upset about your career, personal growth, or love life then you should express that prior to your reading IF you feel comfortable and your reader is comfortable with the request. You don’t necessarily have to ask something directly, you can ask about guidance for a particular aspect in your life or why you feel blocked when it comes to one thing or another.

  2. Questions allow for more structure to connect the messages and symbolism that are portrayed in a Tarot Card.

    • When it comes to the language of Tarot, every element in a card represents one aspect or another. Therefore there are multiple ways to digest the information that comes with a card. Having a question or even multiple questions can help explain why a certain card may have come to surface and what your spirit guides may want you to know.

Perhaps this is your first reading and you just want some basic guidance for the near future based off the path you are on, then you might not need to have any specific questions. That is ok! YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE PREPARED QUESTIONS IN ORDER TO GET A TAROT READING!!
