10 Best Witchy Apps

When I started my journey as a witch I already had a grandiose knowledge of tarot, but I knew nothing about anything else pertaining to witchcraft. I remember feeling less than other witches because I didn’t have a depth knowledge on astrology or crystals. I had this intense belief that I needed to become a master at everything else to be considered a real witch. This led me down a path of intense pressure and burnout because I was constantly doing research to better my knowledge. I hardly ever told people about my interests because I feared that they would interrogate me with questions that I had no answer to. It wasn’t until later that I realized that I was creating an unattainable goal with an unrealistic measurement. But through this journey, I have found some great resources to help you on your spiritual journey!

Have you been interested in expanding your knowledge on witchcraft but don’t know where to start?

Instead of constantly googling questions to increase your witchcraft knowledge and practices, you can save time by utilizing these key apps. When looking for apps, be mindful of the prices and additional options that they present. There are many cheap or free apps that work equally as well as the overly priced material available.

10 Best Witchy Apps

  1. Co-Star

If you are interested in astrology then this app is the way to go. When you first create a profile on this app, it asks you all of the necessary questions required that locate your birth chart coordinates. After inputting the location and time of your birth, you will gain access to your birth chart and information explaining the different aspects behind each planet’s location relevant to various houses. The app then provides you with daily advice and information based on your planetary positions. You can also add your friends on this app and it will give you daily horoscope advice to help navigate what your friends might need support on each day. While there are extra purchasing opinions, these basic aspects are provided for free.

  2. Labyrinthos

This was my go to app when I was learning tarot. I love this app because it not only provides written explanations for the major and minor arcana, it also has interactive games. These games help novice readers remember key aspects to the cards. The memory game is set up like a word sort. It will give you the simple description that the card is known for and then you have to choose the correct card that fits that description. If you are a novice reader and have limited knowledge on tarot, then this is the perfect app for you. It will help you gain a deeper meaning behind each tarot card and help you use your memory and intuition to create meaningful connections to each individual tarot card.

  3. Tarot!

Out of all the witchy apps I use, this is my most utilized app on my phone. Now I generally hate paying for any app or in-app purchases, however, I did purchase this one for a couple dollars back in 2018. To this day, I use this app because how quick and easy it is to use. On the app, you will find brief or detailed information on each minor and major arcana card. In addition, this app provides you with various spreads and a journal to keep track of your readings. Lastly, the app provides a virtual deck that you can use to draw cards. You can either draw individual cards for questions you have OR you have the option to pull a daily card. When I am busy running my day to day life, I sometimes to grab a physical deck and pull my daily card. This app allows me the convenience of having a deck right at the palm of my hand.

  4. The Moon

Anyone who is interested in witchcraft knows the importance of the moon and its’ phases. Whatever the type of witch you are, whether you are a divination witch, kitchen witch, or otherwise… the moon is going to have some impact on your life, spellwork and interests. This app helps keep you in line with the moon’s phases based on your location. I love this app because it helps me plan my rituals, intention spells, and my Full Moon Tarot Reading Deals!

  5. Star Walk

Whereas I am really into tarot, a good majority of my friends are enchanted with astrology. Those who study astrology will tell you that it all connects to the planetary and constellation alignments at any given time. Although I do not read birth charts or fully understand the compatibility between zodiac signs, I do know that how your planets and houses align impact your life on a very intense level. This is app provides real time positions of everything in space that you might need to know when looking at one’s astrological connections.

  6. iPlant

If you create your own spells or if you enjoy plants, then this is a great app for you! This app is used to identify plants through the pictures you take on your camera. I find it so interesting that so many people in this world would rather buy their witchcraft materials, rather than grow or forage for them. With this app, you can find many of the materials needed in basic spells around your local area.

  7. Dreamboard

Have you ever heard of manifesting? A simplified explanation of manifesting is the process of attracting all you want out of life to you through the power of believing that you already have it or are attracting it. A large part of manifestation is the process of planning your future and attracting the necessary energy to execute that plan into existence. Because this app provides an online vision board interface for you to figure out what you want to transpose in your future, it is the perfect app to help you manifest everything that you want to get out of life.

  8. Stone

When I am on instagram, I am constantly falling down the rabbit hole while watching various confetti crystal videos. I am obsessed with crystals. I am drawn to all colors, shapes, and sizes. Unfortunately, I know very little about crystals. One of the largest challenges I have as a witch is crystal knowledge retention. When it comes to crystals, I know the basic crystals and the minimal behind the spiritual meanings or properties. When it comes to the uncommon stones, I know next to nothing about any of them…. This app acts as a crystal encyclopedia to help you identify and understand what each crystal represents, attracts, protects, and cleanses.

  9. Free Candle

This is a neat app that I happened across through pinterest one day when looking at candle intention spells. If you know me, I prefer candle spells over most other spells because I feel that they create the smallest carbon footprint. This is a neat app that provides a candle that you can change the color and interact with and use for various reasons. Now let me make this clear, when given the option, I will always choose the real candle over the electronic version. However, I do think that this is a great app for witch who travels often or is tight on money.

  10. Moonly

Although I do not have this app, I have a few friends who swear by it. On this app, you will find information and interactive tools for Tarot, Astrology, & Meditation. Sounds great right? The downside behind this app lies with the price. This app is free to download but not everything in the app is free. Depending on the interface that you desire, you might even have to pay a monthly fee! If you are seeking knowledge on any of these three topics and have the money to spare, I think that this is a great app to consolidate your research and harbor everything you are learning in one location. Outside of that, I do not think that this app is a necessity or a must make investment.

Should I download all of these apps right now?

Honestly, no. If you are a novice witch and looking into expanding your spiritual knowledge and understanding then I would pick one or two of these things that you are really interested in and focus on those. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT TAROT, ASTROLOGY, CRYSTALS, and whatever else to be a good witch. You can focus on one of these aspects to witchcraft and still be recognized as an amazing witch! I promise that if you focus on one aspect at a time, you will gain more from the experience.
