Using Tarot to Communicate with Pets

This is our baby Moo. Moo ran away April 30th 2022. The loss of Moo led me to my research and discovery of using tarot to communicate with pets.

Ever since I was little, I have always wished to be able to communicate with my pets. When asked about what super power I would like to have, I would always tell people the ability to communicate with animals. I wanted to know exactly what my dogs or cats were thinking or feeling. It wasn’t until I was much older that I found a way to communicate with the animals in my life. Did you know that you can use your divination tools to better understand your pets needs and desires? Trust me when I say that I was hesitant to believe this as first but I promise you that it works!

How does it work?

Everyday animals communicate with each other through the use of oral and body language. While humans may be knowledgable about certain concepts that animals try to communicate, there is still a language gap between different species. The tarot system has its’ own language which goes beyond how we perceive language. It is a culmination of concepts that can be presented and interpreted regardless of natural language barriers. There are many similarities and differences between human and animal tarot readings. When using divination tools to communicate with the pets in your life, it is not your typical conversational pattern. The communication consists of you asking questions for the pet to the universe or even directly to the pet. In addition, pets will not provide additional thoughts and inquiries, whereas humans will always have additional requests.

Why should you try tarot reading for your pet?

Tarot is a great way to decipher your pets thoughts and emotions. If your pet has behavioral issues, you could use your tarot cards to deeper understand why those concerns are there. I personally use tarot to communicate family decisions with my pet. Recently, we just added a new australian cattle dog to our family and I have been using tarot to interpret Slayer’s, my first dog, emotional response to this new development. Using tarot to gauge your pet’s thoughts and emotions for big events can help you better address your pets needs during that time. Keep in mind, tarot should never be used as an alternative action to help from a licensed vet.

Do you have to seek out a professional tarot reader for pet tarot readings?

Nope! If you have your own tarot deck, go ahead and try asking your pet some questions! Actually, using tarot to communicate with your pet is a great way for someone to start their tarot practices. Asking your pet questions and drawing tarot cards will help you familiarize yourself with the system of tarot, your intuition, and keywords associated with each card. While there are professional tarot readers, like myself, who you can inquire pet investigations through. Check with your preferred tarot reader to see if they offer pet reading services.

How to read tarot for your pet:

Using any standard tarot or oracle deck, you can conduct your own tarot readings. I prefer using tarot decks that follow the Rider-Waite Smith decks. In my witch tip’s blog Systems of Tarot, I provide a brief explanation of the different systems that can help you decide what kind of deck you can purchase. Once you have acquired a deck, familiarize yourself with your new tool. If you have specific questions, shuffle the deck while asking your questions. If a card “jumps” out while you are shuffling, then that card is trying to answer your question. If multiple cards jump out, then you might have conducted a poor shuffle. If no card jumps out, fan the cards and pull the one you are guided to.
